This Month's Azure Order

I realize it's kind of hard to see what I got in this picture, but I'll detail it out below. My strategy with Azure has been to really stock up on a couple items (last month it was honey, this month it was coconut milk and basmati rice), buy some stuff I know will only last us a month or two but is better quality and price than I could get at Fred Meyer or New Seasons, and keep it around $100 or less for the month.

I know this is only my second month buying from them, but I am AMAZED at how much it is already helping me stay within my grocery budget. I can't stress enough how much easier it is to stay on budget when you have a stockpile of staple items like flour, beans, sugar, rice, tortillas, and pasta on hand.

12 cans Organic Thai Kitchen coconut milk $18.05
25 lbs Lundberg basmati rice $27.50
5 lbs Lundberg organic sushi rice $8.70
2.5 lbs Organic black beans $4.45
1 lb Organic couscous $3.20
1 lb Organic banana chips $3.40
1 lb Dates $1.95
3 bags Organic rice puffs $4.50
1 can Natural Value green olives $1.95
1 jar Organic Dijon mustard $1.55
1/2 lb Feta cheese $2.67
1 jar OrganicVille sesame teriyaki sauce $3.20
5 Oregon Spice whole vanilla beans $5.65

Total $86.77

I wish Azure took food stamps! LOL! I'm blessed that I get help with food, but I'd not need as much assistance if I could order for Azure! :D Is that coconut milk the full fat stuff, or the low fat?

This is our 2nd month ordering from Azure too! I love it! We bake our own bread products ( pancakes, bread, biscuits, rolls, tortillas, muffins, etc. ) so we get the 50 lb. bags of flour and they are the same price that I was buying 25 lbs. at our health food store. Gotta love that! Happy cooking to your family!!

The coconut milk was the lighter stuff. You can get either type through them.

Rebecca - I've been doing a lot of our own baking, but bread and tortillas intimidate me!

Thanks for sharing your organic savings. I've recently started organic shopping and I'm pretty pleased with the results. I wish we had an Azure. Your savings are great. All we have is a Whole Foods which is pretty good and then an outrageously priced local co-op. Thanks for encouraging the organics.
