It's almost the end of the month and I have very little money left in my grocery budget for the month. Before this shopping trip, $26 to be exact! Because of that, I've already been planning my menu for the upcoming week.
I also wanted to have enough money to finish using all my coupons that I bought to stock up on the chips. It's a balancing act :) Luckly, I have some money on an Albertsons gift card that I'll use for the other items I need this week if I don't have quite enough cash left.
5 Mission tortilla chips
2 Fresh Express spinach salads
2 newspapers
1 Mission pig ear chips
1 Quilted Northern TP
2 Artisian filone breads
18 eggs
1 pack Thomas English muffins
Used:
-$5 instantly wyb 5 chips
-5 $1 Mission chips mfq
-$.55/2 FE salads
-$1 Quilted Northern mfq (in 7/26 inserts)
-SFWY Quilted Northern super coupon
-SFWY Artisian bread super coupon
-SFWY eggs super coupon
-SFWY Thomas English muffins super coupon
-2 $1 SFWY Artisian bread coupons
-$2 DBL
Final Total: $17.04!
I got $.31 in overage on the bread after using the $1 coupon on Safeway's website combined with the in-ad $.69 super coupon. With that overage plus another $1 coupon, I was able to get the second loaf of bread for free as well!
I am counting $4.49 of the total from the T\P towards the household budget, so that leaves me with $13.45 cash in the grocery budget.
