Since we are half way through the month, I thought I'd do a budget check up. I have recently switched to the cash envelope system for my groceries. I have found that I keep track of my spending closer this way. At the end of October I had $15 in cash and $24 in cats left over that I put toward November's grocery budget. Because of that I gave myself $140 in cash for this month.
Right now I have $67 in cash and $20 in cats left for the rest of the month. It would have been $77 in cash, but last night, after splitting a bottle of wine with my brother's girlfriend, we had my husband run to the store for a little more.... Not the best judgement there, but it was a good time!
