Organic and Naturally Living Thursday!

Looking for a way to treat Mosquito bites naturally, and with items around the house?
Well here are a few tips from Sara Snow that are very helpful and non-toxic!

Baking Soda & Water
Make a thick paste of baking soda and water and mound on to the affected area. You can also do this with salt and water.

Vinegar
Apply a dab vinegar directly to the bump, soon after getting bitten. Or you can take a very hot bath with 2 1/2 cups of vinegar to one tub of water.

Onion
Believe it or not, onions can take the sting out of a fresh mosquito bite. Place a fresh slice on the affected area for several minutes until the itching subsides.

Toothpaste
Simply place a dab of toothpaste directly onto a bite to relive the sting and itching.

Soap
Another good summer camp favorite. Rub a dry bar of soap directly onto the bite.

Aloe
Aloe vera will it help ease the itching and swelling from the bite, as well as help to heal the ensuing wound. Apply aloe vera gel directly from the plant or a bottle. Leave on as long as desired.

Raw Honey
Honey is another remedy that has healing properties as well as soothing. The anti-microbial properties in honey may help prevent infection.
