I stopped in at Trader Joes to get some wine to make Sangria (mmmm, Sangria....), and noticed that their Basil plants are priced down to $1.99 each! I've been watching the price on the plants drop over the past couple months so I snatched one up.
Last year I bought basil, shrink wrapped it and stuck it in the freezer. It was great in curries and pasta sauces. This year, I also plan on making my own pesto and freezing it.

THanks for the tip. MIne is in the ground, but our weather is not making it look so pretty. I need more!!!
