Safeway Shopping Trip

Before Tuesday, I had planned on only a small grocery trip because I only had $25 left in my grocery budget for the month. Then they released the $10/$50 coupon, and I realized that I only have a couple days left of getting an extra 10% off my purchases so I decided to spend a little extra to take advantage of the savings.

1 2 liter Pepsi
12 pack Pepsi
1 pt. half & half
2 Select ice cream
1 Lucerne butter
1 large Mt. High yogurt
2 1/2 gal. Horizon organic milk
2 Eating Right berry yogurt shakes
3 Foster Farms ground turkey
1 lemon
celery
green lettuce
2 red peppers
1 lb. asparagus
2 Del Montie fruit cups
1 tofu fettuccini
2 lbs. baby carrots
1 Athenos black olive hummus
1 lb. deli sliced turkey $3.99/lb.
1 pack deli Sargento swiss cheese

Used:
- SFWY butter super coupon
- SFWY free Pepsi super coupon
- $.50 Mt. High yogurt mfq
- $.50 SFWY carrots IP
- $1 SFWY Del Montie IP
- 2 $.55 Horizon IP
- $.55 Sargento cheese peelie
- 2 $.75 markdown stickers on the milk
- 2 $.75 markdown stickers on the yogurt drinks (making them $.25 each!)
- $.75 mark down sticker on the cheese
- $10/$50 SFWY coupon
- $3.98 SFWY 10%
- $2 SFWY doubles

Total = $34.80, which was a 62% savings!

I was pretty happy with that since everything I bought was fresh, diary or meat. I'll be updating everyone on my budget totals at the end of the month.

Sounds like a great trip! I just got back from an awesome trip to Safeway, too. Unfortunately my Safeway does not do doubles (the mgr says WA does not do doubling at Safeways) and they also do not take IP coupons..ugh!! So, I was determined to go to Albertson's from now on and bring the Safeway coupons there. But, they had too many great deals this week. I also had a coupon for a $30 gift card for new prescriptions, so that came in handy, along with the $10 off $50!
