I made a quick stop at Safeway this morning to get some sale items and things for the week.
1 Mission tortilla chips
2 O Organic milks 2/$5
1 Select ice cream $1.99
2 bags Starbucks coffee $5.99 each
1 bottle Listerine
1 pt. Half & Half $1.29
1 Hormel pork tenderloin
1 head lettuce
1 jar Select jam
~5 lbs. 80% ground beef $1.69/lb.
Used:
SFWY chips super coupon
SFWY pork super coupon
SFWY listerine super coupon
- $2 Listerine IP
- $1 Hormel mfq
- $1 SFWY double
- $1 SFWY double
- $3.93 SFWY 10% off
- $.03 SFWY bag credit
- $2.50 CAT (from buying Betty Crocker fruit snacks)
Total = $29.59 which was a 61% savings!
I have spent $157.88 on groceries to date this month. I have $250 in my budget so I shouldn't have too much trouble staying within that.

1.69lb for Ground beef? Was that on sale? Did you have coupons to get that price? How much have you used Safeways hamburger? Is it good?
Hi Jayne, I'm not sure if Erika got $1.69lb on the beef because she bought the Extreme Value pack or if it was on clearance. I know I paid $1.99lb for the smaller ones. So this deal should be good until tomorrow since the new ad at Safeway starts on Wednesday.
HTH,
Christina
Jayne, I paid $1.69 for the hamburger because I got the super value pack. I didn't use any coupons. I don't really know about the quality because before my husband's diet, we never bought ground beef.
