Sorry for the confusion! Hang out a little while longer and you will get it all down.

Basically, the deal is that you buy 3 jumbo packs of pampers. As of today, they were on sale for $10 each, bringing your total to $30. There are two deals that overlap right now. One is that when you spend $30, you will get $15 in coupons off your next purchase back. The other is that when you spend $25 on baby products, you will get a $5 coupon off your next purchase.

I suggested that people use 3 $1 pampers coupons on the three jumbo packs of diapers plus the Safeway double coupon (in most Safeway ads, Albertsons takes competitors coupons). If you just have the three packs of diapers in your first transaction, you would spend $27 (or $25.50 if you use the double coupon) out of pocket and will get 4 $5 coupons off your next purchase. Use those coupons along with 3 more $1 pampers coupons on the next purchase of three jumbo packs and your total out of pocket will be $7 ($5.50 with SFWY double).

This was totally long winded, but I hoped it helped you! Let us know if you are able to get some diapers :)

I did three transactions today and the CAT rolled for my first two, but I only got one $5 in my third transaction. Any idea what could have happened? Do you know if there is a limit per day?

I did it and it worked the first time, but when I paid the second time with my cats from the first transaction, the only one that printed out was the $5 off a baby purchase, not the other three $5 off of anything. Does it not print because I paid with them like Wags does with RR? The clerk told me that sometimes they limit the number you can do with the preferred card... Any thoughts? I'm frustrated that I paid way to much for my second set, but I did a bunch of other purchases with coupons to use the $10 off $50 for that one, so I couldn't just return the diapers (plus I had paid with the cats.) Any thoughts on what I could do or how to do it better next time??a

Can you help a newbie out... When you say 2nd transaction do you actually take all items up to the register, split them up and do two transactions. One with the first batch and the 2nd with the coupons you got from the first?

I am new to this so can you offer some advice. When you say 1st and 2nd transaction, do you actually take all items up to the register and split them into two transaction? Using the coupons you got on the first one on the 2nd?

This is a little overwhelming... I have a HUGE amount of coupons and don't even know how to organize them.

2 questions for the gurus: Do we know what the "participating items" are for the spend $30 get $15? I wonder if it includes Huggies? Also, what do you think the chances are of this deal continuing thru tomorrow? I want to use those great $1 double coupons in Alb Food Day ad! Thanks for the great deals!! :)

Hi Mrs Gator, Yes, you will want to do 2-separate Transactions at the check out line. Just let the cashier know, they dont usually have a problem with that.

About your coupons, you may want to get a according file (from Wag's or wherever) to separate them by Dairy, Cereal, Frozen, Meat, Cleaning products etc... or by Grocery store i.e. Albertson & just take the coupons you are going to use. I know Erika uses a Binder with 3-pocket photo slots, and I use 2-small photo albums 1-for Grocery & 1-Household & separate them by Cheese, Yogurt, etc... Let us know if you have more Q's!

Hi Anna! Check out the ad scan on our Albertson's deals post, & it will show u the participating items. I haven't had time to type them out yet (but will later). We will probably add some scenarios too. I believe the Pampers 2/$20 deal is part of the Promo & is going on until 1/13. I will have Erika confirm that.

Thanks,
Christina

Mrs. Gator - Yes, I do split up my items into two different transactions using the coupons I got off my first transaction on the second one. I will ususally ask the checker if she minds if I do two transactions, making sure there aren't any other people in line behind me.

For those of you who are having the problem with the 3 $5 CATS not printing on your second or thrird transactions, I'm not sure what is going on. It happened to me today too. I am wondering if it has to do with the $5 baby items CAT, because each time I have tried to use that one it has beeped and the checker has to do something manually to get it to go through.

What I did today was take my products up to customer service and they scanned the diapers for me just to get the coupons to print. I know that it's not a card limit issue because I used my card when at customer service.

Anna, the promo does continue tomorrow because that's when the $15 off of $30 is advertized to start.

Instead of being MAD at my OC store for apparently not participating in this, can you ladies suggest the Albies you like to shop at? I would be happy to make the drive for some competency! Thanks for the tips!

I shop at the Clackamas and 122nd and Division stores. The deals are working there. You should be able to show your store their own ad to prove that the deal is going on though. Weird!

Hi Anna, I shop at the 224 Albies in Milwaukie. The customer svc is really good & the cashier's are very nice. They seem to be up with deals. Also, like Erika said if you don't get a Cat printed out, go to Customer svc & they will print one for you.

Thanks,
Christina
