Monday Shopping

Every week a friend and I trade babysitting for a morning. Monday's I drop the kids off at her house, and I am able to get errands or office work done. I love the set up! Today I took advantage of my time to get some shopping in.

Walgreens

I did do a transaction to take advantage of the $5/$25 coupon, but didn't take a picture of what I did because it included Christmas presents :) This was transaction #2.

1 Colgate Max Fresh $2.99 - used $1.50 IP

2 Reach Floss - 2/$6 - used 2 $1 mfq

2 kids books - 2/$2 (used these as a filler item because I was using a RR too)

-$5 RR from a couple months ago - it happened to have a long expiration date

Total = $2.49 on a gift card and I received a $2RR and a $6RR!

Target

8 Rayovak batteries $1 - used 8 $1 IP = FREE!!

Now I have not done much coupon shopping at Target, and was a little worried at how it would go as I have heard some horror stories. I did buy something else so that I would have to pay something (another Christmas present), and hopefully not attract too much attention to myself. I am happy to report that the Rayovac IP's worked great, and there were no beeps. Yay!

Rite Aid

1 Philips Ear Buds $4.99 - FAR this week only

1 Gillette Fusion Razor $9 - used $4 mfq from 11/30 insert and $5 rebate this week only

1 GE 6 Outlet Surge Protector $5 - FAR this week only

Total $14.99 - paid with 10/08 rebate check and will get back $14.99 in rebates

I didn't do any rebate shopping in November at Rite Aid. The one really good week they had last month was before I received my October rebate check, and I at this point I only use my prior month's rebate check to buy new rebate items so that I don't spend any money out of pocket.

Of course in the beginning I did spend money to buy the FAR items, but I have built my "revolving" rebate money up to $80+ and that seems like plenty to me to roll. The thing I like about shopping at Rite Aid is that it is pretty straight forward. There aren't any scenarios to figure out like Walgreens, which is pretty nice because I get a little brain dead after Walgreens and grocery shopping!

Erika!! I'm suddenly running into you all over the Internet! :) I clicked a link from Frugal Living (run by 2 friends from my church) & your face popped up. I was so surprised! I'm new to couponing & blogging, but I'm having a lot of fun with both. Enjoyed looking through your blog.
